Major progress on CSS rehaul!

Been a while since my last update again.

In my previous update, I went over the major roadblock that was reworking my site's CSS, and what I'd try to work on in tandem to getting that done. I'm here to report that the rework might be done before almost everything else mentioned in that update.

The primary topic getting in the way of my rework was the beast known as responsive design. For one, I just wanted my pages to be sufficiently readable on multiple screen sizes, as is the purpose of responsive design, but I also wanted my CSS to be built out of strong and adaptable elements that I can bend and tinker with without every single other variable subsequently requiring readjustment. As said in the last update: I don't want a temporary solution.

It was then that I read Petrapixel's fantastic positioning guide, with the grid display information therewithin being exactly what I was looking for. The gaps in my knowledge are sufficiently filled, and now I know how to assemble the flexible structure I had been trying to reverse-engineer for a good while. Now that I have those fundamentals as a toolkit, it's just a matter of my own creative decisions at this point, which is the actually enjoyable part anyways.

So the rework's completion approaches sooner than previously anticipated. That'll give me more focus and elbow-room for both the things I talked about in the last update as well as some things I haven't mentioned yet! Feeling dead-ended on studying the CSS necessary for the rework has been taking up undue space on my mental bandwidth, which is why I haven't uploaded anything new on the site since last time, aside from the post that was literally 99% done already. I've worked on writing some stuff in the background that will likely get posted, but haven't done so yet because like NONE of it is what I heralded in the last update, lol.

It's overall just very demotivating to get large amounts of pages finalized when the finalization process--for the time being--involves putting them in the old format, thus increasing the number of pages that I'll have to manually change to the new format once it's done. Again, the sooner I have this done, the sooner I can get back to focusing on more substantial things.

While a new layout is certainly also a great opportunity for revisions to other elements like aesthetics, I hope to not get hung up on the fine details as much as possible. After all, as I've already mentioned, a great benefit to the new structure is being able to more easily make tweaks to it. If I have any other ideas after the fact, I can add them then and not delay things in the now any further.

(I'll probably still try to go for that idea of a directory rearrangement before I get things done, though. Spare myself the trouble of changing the navbar text on each page down the line.)

Anyways, I not only can't think of anything else to say here, but also I am now subsequently kind of sick of continuing to write this and just want to be done with it at this point! Probably won't be gone without updates for as long this time. I was actually going to add more to this post but decided it would be better to split it up into separate pieces, so...
