The head pictured here belongs to a larger full-body model, it just happens to be the part of the final work that I'm the most proud of. I had followed a really great video tutorial during the process of making the whole thing, and the head was where I went the most freeform and made my own decisions the most, so it feels most representative of my accomplishments. I especially enjoy how the hairstyle came out.
The date of completion for the trans flag is imprecise. I looked back in Discord messages to friends to search for completion dates of both of these works but I had no luck in regards to the flag like I did the head.
The earliest version of the flag didn't have isometric perspective like the current iteration, and the colors were actually painted onto the image in Firealpaca, since it was just before I had learnt the basics of UV texturing. It also had the detail of being held by the hand of the model the head belonged to.
That version was made before the head was completed, and the current one was made after that, so I'm just averaging the time span and saying that the claim both pieces were made circa the 23rd is good enough.

This was made tonight, at the time of writing! Two friends and I were hanging out on-call together, and we decided to do a shared drawing board session. It was very fun, aside from a few technologic frustrations.
I had somewhat recently seen a Youtube post by the animator CAMOOH, in which they discussed a method that they use to better work around the complications that come with being an artist with aphantasia. The idea made a lot of sense to me, and it seemed I might get some mileage out of it as someone who similarly has trouble visualizing things. (Although to a lesser degree.)
I had been meaning to give this color-block contrast sketching a try for a while, and doing the drawing board with friends gave me a perfect time to do so. This was the only piece I did, but I was having tons of fun with it and was actually very focused on it, which has never been a guarantee with drawing in the past.
The subject of this sketch is Miccana, one of my characters. She's a good choice to draw, since she's got a pretty distinct design in my head, and good for the constrast sketching because of her stark hair color. I didn't put much detail below the head, but a fun unintended effect was that as a result of trying to touch up and even out the shape at the collar, I unintentionally made it look like a hood, it's great. The brush I was using also really just worked well for hair, so I had a lot of fun with that part too. Overall I kind of wound up with a 2010s indie game lineless style.
This is definitely the most fun I've had drawing in a long while, and maybe even the most fun I've ever had. Hanging out with other friends who were also drawing definitely helped. Hopefully I'll get to do some more.
